Pleasant Grove Boulevard Trail & Burgees Orchard

Midlife Couple enjoying peaches and ice cream from Burgess Orchards in Alpine, Utah.

This was from last year, I thought it was scheduled to post but I just found it. Anyway, Pleasant Grove Boulevard Trail (Pleasant Grove, Utah) and Burgees Orchard (Alpine, Utah) are highly recommended by the internet so off we went to check it out! The internet did not lie, 10/10! We enjoyed both in plan to go back this month…. Burgees Orchard opened back up today so you know we’re going back for peaches and ice cream! – gluten free w/o the crumble topping.

Pleasant Grove Ditch Trail. Paved trail alley in the middle of a neighborhood.

Pleasant Grove Boulevard Ditch Trail starts in the middle of a neighborhood, you can on park the street and walk to the trailhead (above). The mostly shaded paved path is between houses and walk through parks, making it very ‘pleasant’ ;)!

  • Mostly shaded
  • Parks & Bathrooms
  • Considered an easy route, beginner friendly
  • Forest, in Utah.
  • 2.1 miles out and back
  • 41 minutes avg
  • Open year around
  • Dogs on leash, off leash in some areas
  • Kid, Stroller, Wheelchair, Midlife friendly
  • Running, walking

Trail Con

  • No Cafe, I mean come on, a trail this good?! where’s the cute place to sit with a paints while I enjoy my iced Chai?! so I overlook the beauty of this little slice of heaven? Just me, moving on.
  • Bring water, there are no cafes. hahaha!

Check out our Adventure Journal to see what other amazing and fun things I’m doing as a Midlifer.

Pleasant Grove Ditch Trail. Paved trail with trees on both sides.

The shade on this trail is wonderful! Birds chirping, wind blowing leaves, people waking by, it felt like we were out of the city but we were right in the middle of it! It’s the perfect getaway trail!

We noticed houses on the other side of the ditch with steps up, did you see the patio down there?! Now that’s a backyard! Just take the steps down to your own little forest to enjoy the evening, or mornings! We’re currently looking into buying a house there! I mean, it’s all we want…. trail, parks for grandkiddos, morning Chai, our own Oasis! I’m already packing!

Pleasant Grove playground.

Did I say parks, yep, yep I did! This is an amazing park, just look at all that fun! I will investigate next time! The view of the mountains in the background is the cherry on top!

Trail Bridge

Who doesn’t love a cute little bridge! Me, it’s me!

Crosswalk connecting the trail.

And, here we go, the street to cross, very little traffic from the neighborhood but watch yo’self with those cars driving 20mph.

Tree covered trail.

My favorite part! The forest! I’m a sucker for winding trails like this that slow me down and refuel me. If only I had my paints with me! I love this! We were very surprised to see this section of the trail, cherry on top y’all!

Nice restrooms along the trail.

Nice bathrooms available, I’m positive there are two different locations with bathrooms, I’ll let ya know after we go back. I’m a midlife female so bathrooms are a must, it’s just part of the joys of being a women. yay.

One small branch with red leaves while the rest of the tree is all green.

We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent on the Pleasant Grove Boulevard Ditch Trail and will be back many times I can tell you that! The leaves were just beginning to turn for Fall, the vibrant red in these leaves, beautiful!

Burgess Orchards in Alpine, Utah

Burgess Orchards, has my heart too! I grew up in California where orchards and vineyards were all around. I love seeing them here in Utah, takes me back to so many wonderful memories! But today, I was hot and hungry, and here for the Peaches & Cream! The line can be long but I promise it’s worth it!

Fresh Peaches & soft serve ice cream with chopped peaches on the bottom, then ice cream, and topped with more peaches and whipped cream.

Highly recommended! 11/10! We had a great time, definitely one of our favorite outings we’ve done! Don’t forget, Burgees opens today July 7th, go get your Peaches & Cream!

Midlife can bring so many unexpected challenges that can feel like we’re being tousled and thrown off course. For me, challenges may come, but this is my life and I’m going to live it to the fullest! Who’s with me!

Have you walked the Pleasant Grove Trail or been to Burgees? Let me know in the comments.
